Competition Application Guidelines

The application period for all the competition categories has been extended until 20th of June, 2025, due to the technical issues in the system.
- Applicants are permitted to apply for multiple divisions, such as Solo Division and Alto Division; Piccolo Division and Alto Division; Piccolo Division and Ensemble Award Division; or Alto Division and Ensemble Award Division. However, it is prohibited for an applicant to participate in two or more groups within the Ensemble Award Division.

◎ Application
- To apply, please visit the Japan Flutists Association (JFA) website or use the QR code provided below.
- Applicants must also apply to participate for the entire duration of the convention.
- Applicants applying for two divisions must submit separate applications for each.
- Incomplete applications may be rejected.
- If a participant needs to cancel their participation, please inform the convention department, JFA, immediately at flutefly0121@gmail.com. The application fee is non-refundable.
- Contestants are prohibited from altering their repertoire selections after submitting their application.
- Please refer to the description of each division for eligibility details.

◎ Operation of the Competition
- Participants are required to sign in at the designated time and venue for the elimination round with the participation pass issued by the Secretariat of the JFA. Afterward, please follow the instructions provided by staff members.
- The order of performances may differ from the application order.
- You may select any music editions, except in cases where an edition has been specified.
- Performance interruptions may occur; however, these will not impact your result.
- It is not mandatory to perform from memory, except during the first round of the Solo Division.
- Only contestants and their accompanists are permitted in the green room.
- Contestants who fail to arrive on time may be considered as having withdrawn from the competition.
