【Application Period】
- Scheduled to begin on May 7, 2025, and end on June 7, 2025.
【Solo Division】
- < 1st Round > Select one Fantasy from:
- G. Ph. Telemann: 12 Fantasien TWV40: 2-13. To be performed from memory without repeats.
- The Da Capo must be played if using an edition with Da Capo printed.
- < 2nd Round > Select one piece from (2) to be performed after the (1) mandatory piece.
- (1) Mandatory piece:
- S. Karg-Elert: 30 Caprices (Etudes) Op.107, No.23
- (2) Select one piece from the following:
- P-O. Ferroud: III “Toan Yan” from Trois pièces pour flûte seule
- J. Ibert: Pièce pour flûte seule
- E. Bozza: Image pour flûte seule
- (1) Mandatory piece:
- < 3rd Round > Perform the following two pieces in order of (1) and (2).
- (1) J. S. Bach: Sonate für Flöte E-Dur BWV 1035. (Without repeats)
- (2) A. Casella: Sicilienne et Burlesque Op.23
- < Final > Perform the following two pieces in any order.
- T. Takemitsu: “Itinerant” in Memory of Isamu Noguchi for flute solo
- W. A. Mozart: Konzert D-Dur KV 314. (With cadenzas of the contestant’s choice)
【Piccolo Division】
- < 1st Round > Select one Fantasy from:
- G. Ph. Telemann: No. 2 or No. 10 from 12 Fantasien TWV40: 2-13, without repeats
- < 2nd Round > Perform the following two pieces in order of (1) and (2).
- (1) E. Damaré: Le tourbillon Op.212
- (2) M. Daugherty: The High and the Mighty for Piccolo and Piano
- < Final > Perform the following two pieces in order of (1) and (2).
- (1) P. Taffanel: Andante pastoral et Scherzettino
- (Notes out of range can be substituted for any harmonically appropriate notes)
- (2) A. Vivaldi: Concerto C-Dur RV 443 P-79, complete with repeats in the 2nd movement.

【Alto Division】
- < Preliminary Round > Select either (1) or (2).
- J. S. Bach: Cello Suites:
- (1) From Suite No.1 BWV 1007: Menuette 1 and 2 with all repeats and no Da Capo.
- Gigue with repeats.
- (2) From Suite No.2 BWV 1008: Menuette 1 and 2 with all repeats and no Da Capo.
- Gigue without repeats

- < Final > Perform the following two pieces in any order.
- I. Yun: “Salomo” (1977/78) for Alto Flute
- C. Saint-Saëns: Sonata Op.168. / (Original: Sonata for Basson and Piano)

【Ensemble Award Division】
- < Preliminary Round > Perform the following two pieces in order of (1) and (2).
- (1)〈Flute Duet〉 W. A. Mozart: From the Sechs Duette No.4, KV Anh. 157: 2nd movement “Andante con Variazioni d-moll”
- (Required edition: Mozart: 6 Flute Duets, K. Anh. 156, Nos. 4-6 – Volume 2. Arranged for 2 Flutes by Wilhelm Barge: Musikverlag Zimmermann)
- 〈Flute Trio〉 F. Devienne: Trio No.1 from the 6 Flute Trios Op.19: 2nd movement “Adagio” in D-dur (Any publisher)
- 〈Flute Quartet〉A. Reicha: Quartette “Sinfonico” Op.12: 2nd movement “Andante” in G-dur. (Any publisher)
- (2) Free selection of an original or arranged composition to be chosen by the contestants
- (Maximum duration: 6 minutes)
- (1)〈Flute Duet〉 W. A. Mozart: From the Sechs Duette No.4, KV Anh. 157: 2nd movement “Andante con Variazioni d-moll”
- < Final > Select any two pieces from different musical eras.
- One work must be an original composition; however, the 2nd work can be an arrangement.
- (Maximum performance duration including time between the 2 pieces: 20 minutes.)
- Instruments permitted: Preliminary round (1): Flute only
- Preliminary round (2) and Final: Piccolo, Soprano Flute,, Flute d’amour,
- Alto Flute, Bass Flute, F-Bass Flute and Contrabass flute
- Cuts are permitted in the pieces of free choice in order to adhere to the time limit.
- The piece of free choice for the preliminary round can be an extract from the pieces selected for the final.
- The mandatory piece performed in preliminary round cannot be chosen as the piece of free choice for the final.
- Instruments permitted:
- Preliminary round (1): Flute only
- Preliminary round (2) and Final: Piccolo, Soprano Flute, Flute, Flute d’amour,Alto Flute, Bass Flute, F-Bass Flute and Contrabass flute
