    • 1st Round: Online screening with performance videos. 
       (The result will be announced on the JFA website on the 10th of June.) 
    • 2nd Round:  Friday 18th of August, 10:00 
    • Final:  Saturday 19th of August, 10:00 
  • <<Application Period>>
    • Saturday 1st of April – Monday 15th of May 
  • <<Jury Panel>>
    • The jury panel mainly consists of the directors and representative of Japan Flutists Association 
    • Jury Chairperson: Shigeki Tsuruoka 
    • Atsushi Ichinohe, Ikue Koike, Kensuke Sato, Shigeyuki Takano, Mari Yamakoshi, Yasushi Watanabe
  • <<Official Accompanist>>
    • Naoko Imamura, Hitomi Takara
  • <<Prizes>>
    • First prize:   A certificate of merit and 500,000 yen 
    • Second prize:  A certificate of merit and 300,000 yen 
    • Third prize:   A certificate of merit and 150,000 yen 
    • Other finalists:  A certificate of merit 
      • The top prize winner(s) will be offered an opportunity to play in a concert held during the next convention. 
  • <<Number of Contestants>>
    • There is no limited number for applicants. 
  • <<How to apply>>
    • Please apply online with the recording information (URL) of the first round. (Applications will be accepted on April 1, 2023)
    • Application is accepted online only through the website of Japan Flutists Association. 
    • Apply for both the competition and participation for the whole period of the convention.
  • <<Repertoire>>

      • J.S.Bach:
        • Allemande and Bourrée anglaise (both with no repeat) from Partita a-moll, BWV1013 
    • < 2nd Round >
      • Play the following two pieces in the order you like: 
      • (1) A.Vivaldi:
        • The second movement (with no repeat) from Concerto C-dur, RV443, P-79 
      • (2) G.Schocker:
        • Sonata No.2 for Piccolo and Piano (with no repeat), or 
        • Sonata No.3 for Piccolo and Piano
